The Yungas Hwy between La Paz and Coroico is officially the world's most
dangerous road.
Given that an
average of 26 vehicles disappear over
the edge
every year the title is well deserved.
It's a gravel track
only 3.2m wide - just
enough room for one vehicle with sheer 1000m drops, hulking rock
overhangs,
and waterfalls that spill across & erode the highway.
It has a growing reputation among cyclists keen for an adrenaline rush.
All you need to do is watch those edges, drunk drivers and marauding trucks.

.They are located within the Altiplano of Bolivia, a high plateau (over 12,000ft up) formed during the uplift of the ..
Andes mountains. The plateau has no drainage outlets & houses fresh & salt water lakes.
